Students in Mrs. Quartucci's Sociology course have been working through a chapter about Family as part of the Social Institutions Unit. They looked at the Walworth County initiative for April to help strengthen families and created sidewalk art to help encourage supportive environments for everyone. The Tree House and United Way provided some direction through the examples they had posted on their websites.
Students created messages for kids and parents with reminders and suggestions about the strength and support in families. The messages were drawn on the sidewalks around DDHS.
Hopefully one of the messages is seen by either a child or a parent and it makes them smile or think about what they can do in their own family to make it stronger and more supportive.
