Reading Challenge

To help students continue to read over spring break, Turtle Creek Elementary staff challenged the students to continue reading every day by picking a fun way to read for 20 minutes daily. Some examples included to read to your dog, read in the tub, zoom call and read to a relative or a friend. Students returned their challenge list after break and those who participated received a reward, a treat, a book and a reading book light. Thank you to the Janesville Jets Hockey Team and SSM Health for donating the amazing book lights!

Research has proven that students that read 20 minutes daily after school have improved in their school academic achievements. Please continue to read to your child or have your child read to you , that is one of the BEST things you can do with your child. Keep reading!
