Anna Quartucci has been selected as the recipient of the Good Citizen Award for Delavan Darien High School for 2022-23. This award is sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution, Samuel Phoenix Chapter, Delavan. She was chosen for this honor based on qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in her school and community. She is the daughter of Bob and Julie Quartucci.
Anna has been very active in high school participating in the Comet Mentor program and Hope Squad, in Student Council including holding leadership positions, in FBLA and HOSA, participating in volleyball and basketball and in the Southern Lakes Leadership Conference. She has been in National Honors Society, High Honors List, Academic Excellence Awards and was nominated to Badger Girls State. Her work experience in the community has been as a summer day Camp Counselor for the Delavan Lake Yacht Club and she has served her community in various ways including serving Christmas meals at the American Legion for several years. Also at school, she created a food pantry called the Comet Cupboard for students and families in need.
Part of her selection as a Good Citizen Award winner was the opportunity to participate in the Essay Contest. The timed essay was titled: "Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility for Preserving It: How will the Essential Actions of a Good Citizen (Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism) meet the challenges that America Faces in this decade? By submitting this essay, she receives a gift card, and a pin.
Her future goals include attending UW-Whitewater to study Marketing, Communications and Psychology.
