The 5th grade class at Phoenix Middle School had their annual Wax Museum Fundraiser Tuesday, April 18th and Thursday, April 20st. This fundraiser is used for their Brewers field trip every year. The goal is to raise enough money so students do not have to pay anything for their ticket.
Students were able to choose a favorite historical figure, read about them from the well-known “Who Was” reading series, and then compose a 2:00 minute speech. These costumed characters from history would then come to life giving a quick summary of what they endured throughout their life after the donation of some loose change.
As history repeats itself…. The event was well attended again this year and we raised over $1,800.
Again, the entire 5th grade will not have to pay anything towards their Brewers ticket due to an outstanding participation by the community. The entire 5th grade… Thanks everyone!
