Once again the Delavan-Darien High School Boys' Soccer Team has qualified for yet another berth in the WIAA State Tournament Series by defeating Grafton in a 1-0 battle on Halloween night. Due to the perpetual success of our soccer teams (both boys' (fall) and girls (spring)), it is imperative that we build a facility that ensures their safety and supports our community in showcasing the excellence of our students, both academically and extracurricularly. We continually lose revenue by not being able to host postseason events on our football and soccer fields due to field conditions. A vote in favor of the referendum will launch the Delavan-Darien School District into the 21st Century with facilities that make our district a high quality campus and increases all of the community's property values!
Referendum Q&A Session
When: Friday, Oct. 9th 5:30PM
Where: Borg Stadium
Afterwards, all attendees can attend the Comet vs. Badgers football game. Go Comets!

Today, various police agency went through the DDHS and Phoenix Middle School with zero hits. We greatly appreciate the partnership with our local and regional police departments. It is a great way for the officers to learn our buildings as a precautionary measure as well as keep our schools drug free. Special thanks to the officers and their fido friends!

The Delavan-Darien School District is proud to announce that two students from Delavan-Darien High School have been named as 2021 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. Seniors Michael Cobb and Breanna Yartey are two of 16,000 students from throughout the nation to be named as semifinalists for this prestigious scholarship opportunity. Michael and Breanna represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors which includes the highest scoring entrants in each state.
Three types of Merit Scholarship awards will be offered in 2021: National Merit $2,500 scholarships, corporate-sponsored scholarships, and college-sponsored scholarships.
Merit Scholarship winners will be announced in spring 2021.
According to the National Merit Program’s website “The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. Approximately 1.6 million high school students enter the program each year. High School students who meet published program entry and participation requirements enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) at the specified time in the high school program, usually as juniors. Each year's PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test designated for entry to a particular year's competition. For example, the 2019 PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for entry to the competition for scholarships to be awarded in 2021.”
Our first Throwback Thursday for the 2020-2021 School Year will take us back to 1962 as we compare the Board of Education from that year to our current School Board. #cometproud
