Course Information:

Students will self-select novels from the DDHS library to read, journal, discuss, and promote. Selections will be from a variety of genres and will allow the development of vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The course is designed to expand a student's literal, interpretive, and evaluative comprehension skills. Young adult novels are the focus of the curriculum, but students will choose literature that will challenge them and be at a high interest level.
