Course Information:

This is a year-long course that requires selection of both semesters: S1 and S2. This is a course that will help students develop the ability to think and write critically, with an emphasis on how authors use their characters, themes, and the like to create a critique of society. The class will explore how similar themes or points of view are developed across multiple novels and literary movements. This course will help students build on previously learned language arts skills and introduce new and more complex literary terms for the purpose of reading, interpreting, and critically analyzing literature from the classical canon.
