Course Information: This course examines Latin America culture, history, society and geography. Students will study the cultural and ethnic distinction that exist between Latin-American countries, both historical and contemporary. Current events and issues in the Latin-American world will be incorporated. This course will emphasize critical thinking, writing and analysis. This course will also count towards the Seal of Biliteracy and Global Scholar requirements. Students will leave this course with an appreciation and understanding of what makes Latin America one of the most diverse regions in the world.
Prerequisite: SS205-Global Studies (S1 & S2) or SS680-AP Human Geography (S1 & S2), as well either SS200-Contemporary US History (S1 & S2) or SS720-AP US History (S1 & S2).
