The Delavan-Darien High School staff have been mindful and are helping celebrate Autism Awareness month by "sporting" their newest Comet gear. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism refers to a variety of conditions correlated with challenges in social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and even nonverbal communication. Additionally, autism affects approximately 1 out of every 59 children in the United States! Please be mindful and help us celebrate and appreciate all people in our community, not only this month, but throughout the year.
