The Delavan-Darien School District (DDSD) is thrilled to announce that Evan Hibbs has been appointed the new Dean of Students for Delavan-Darien High School (DDHS) for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Hibbs has been a valued member of DDSD since 2019, starting his career as an adaptive physical education teacher for students in 4K through 8th grade at Phoenix Middle School and Turtle Creek Elementary.

Most recently, Hibbs has been teaching physical education to 4K-2nd grade students at Turtle Creek Elementary School. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Hibbs has demonstrated strong leadership as the leader of the Family & Community Engagement Team (PLC) and as the elementary representative on the district’s Tier 2 team. His dedication to DDSD is further evident through his commitment to teaching summer school for the past four years.

Outside of his teaching duties, Hibbs has contributed significantly to the school community as the head JV1 Comets boys’ basketball coach and the assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach. Hibbs is also pursuing his master’s degree in educational administration at Concordia University Wisconsin and is set to graduate in December 2024. Upon graduation, he will hold a Wisconsin principal license and a Wisconsin director of instruction license with an emphasis on athletic administration.

Jim Karedes, Principal at DDHS, expressed his enthusiasm for Hibbs’s new role, stating, "We are excited to welcome Evan to the administrative team. We are fully supportive of helping him achieve his aspirations to further hone his leadership skills within the DDSD. Evan's dedication to our students will be a tremendous asset to our school community. We look forward to the positive impact he will bring to our high school."

The Delavan-Darien School District is confident that Hibbs's experience, passion, and dedication will greatly contribute to the continued success and growth of DDHS. Please join us in welcoming Evan Hibbs to his new role as Dean of Students.
