The mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The DDHS Student Council raised over $3,000 from February 8-18 for LLS! Each class competed to raise the most money in order to win a Winter Week Assembly on Thursday, February 18th during period 8. The sophomore class edged out the senior class by $1.00. We want to thank everybody that helped make this event so successful.
We reached our $200 goal, which resulted in Dr. Otte getting a pie in his face.
We reached our $400 goal, which resulted in Associate Principal Zimmerman dressing up for a day.
We reached our $600 goal, which resulted in Associate Principal Katzenmeyer being fed by Mr. Zimmerman.
We reached our $800 goal, which resulted in Principal Karedes having his head fully shaved by sophomore Parker Krablean.
Finally, we even reached our $1000 goal, which had Math Teacher Alonzo getting her head shaved by sophomore Cameron Kennedy.
