The Adventure Education students in Mr. Herland's class at Delavan-Darien High School had the opportunity to go out biking in Delavan, arriving at Lake Comus, and then hopped into their canoes and went canoeing for either the morning or the afternoon. This activity is a culmination of the biking and canoeing units that occur as part of the Adventure Education classes, beginning with basic biking and canoeing skills on the school grounds and in the pool at DDHS. Supporting this activity for safety by attending, participating, supervising, and canoeing were Mr. Herland, Ms. Huerta, and Board Member Ms. Grams. Thank you to these educators for further supporting the development of the entire child that the DDSD affords every student!
