The Geneva Lakes Arts Foundation invites all of the public high schools in Walworth County, yearly, to participate in a student art show exhibited at Gallery 223 in downtown Lake Geneva. Delavan-Darien High School submitted ten pieces of artwork created by 8 different students including photography, graphic design, drawings, paintings, and metalsmithing. On Thursday evening (April 7), two of our senior students were honored with awards! Maria Shackett won a Geneva Lakes Honorable mention Award for her necklace and pendant inspired by the mountains of Cambodia. Dia Patel won the Neal and Dotsy Heffernen Best of Show Award for her charcoal self-portrait. All of the student's work will be on display, open to the public, through the weekend!
Featured DDHS students in addition to Dia Patel and Maria Shackett are Naomi Delgado, Madison Gordon, Skylar Hall, Jessica Olson, Jose Perez, and Claudia Sterba.
