As the excitement of a new school year (22-23) approaches, DDHS is excited to welcome not only our current students, but also former students and the community to our homecoming festivities the week of September 19 through September 24. We are excited to share that the class games will be Wednesday, September 21, beginning with the Boys' Volleyball games in the main gym (4:30-6 pm), followed by the Girls' Powder Puff games in the newly renovated Borg Stadium (6:30-8 pm), and concluding with a bonfire (featuring the DDHS Band) on the north side of the high school property from 8-9 PM!
We are also pleased to share that our Homecoming Parade will occur at 4 PM on the brick street downtown. We ask all Comet students and the community to follow the parade to the high school where we will have a free pig roast (5-6:15 PM) and yard games (5-6:45 PM), along with an official ribbon cutting for the Grand Opening of the Newly Renovated Borg Stadium (6 pm)! The Homecoming Football Game will begin at 7 PM.
Finally, Homecoming Week will conclude with a dance for current students on Saturday, September 24, from 7-10 PM in the high school commons. We hope to see the #CometNation out for all these events. This year's theme is "There's No Place Like Homecoming", so come out with your ruby red slippers and join us on the "yellow" brick road as we welcome in a new academic year!
