The Delavan-Darien School District is supporting Police Officer Brad Schroeder, from the City of Delavan Police Department, along with the help and assistance of Kunes Country Ford and Chevy and the Delavan-Darien School District Staff to conduct a Food and Items Drive on October 24, 2020 from 11 AM until 1 PM at DDHS. The Food and Item Drive is going to help each building in the Delavan-Darien School District with items needed within the schools. We are hoping that the Delavan-Darien Community will assist us in gathering items that will be distributed to each school to help our students in need.
Items needed include non-perishable food items, including canned foods, meals in a box, cereal, canned juices and even plastic silverware. Clothing items needed are items like winter hats, gloves, boots, jackets, socks, sweatpants and tennis shoes. Personal care and other items needed are deodorant, ChapStick, feminine products, water bottles and headphones.
Walworth County Department of Health and Safety has been contacted and all the rules pertaining to gathering items will be followed for the safety of the volunteers and people willing to donate. We are asking that if you are willing and able to donate items that you arrive at DDHS between 11 AM and 1 PM on Saturday, October 24th. There will be volunteers present that will help receive items from your vehicle in the front circle at DDHS. Donation Boxes will also be set up at the City of Delavan Police Department during the week of October 19-24 if you would rather donate at that location. The City of Delavan Police Department and the Delavan-Darien School District would like to thank all of those that are able to make such donations to support students and families in our district that are in need.
